Our story

We built True Scale Homes because we saw people struggle with something fundamental

What True Scale Homes actually is

We print your house plans at full scale directly onto the land. You walk through the actual dimensions of your home before a single brick is laid.

Why people struggle with floor plans

A two-dimensional drawing on paper tells you nothing about how a space actually feels. You cannot know if a hallway is too narrow or a kitchen too small until you are standing in it.

Flat drawings lack spatial reality

Design flaws emerge too late

Costly changes after construction begins

The moment we saw the problem clearly

When building our family home, we tested our plans using a projected floor layout in a warehouse, but the space was too small to walk the full design. It also couldn’t replicate how the home would sit on our actual block or connect to its surroundings.

How the idea took shape

Not long after, I was watching a football field being marked out with white lines. The crew mapped the entire field in minutes. That’s when it clicked — what if we could do the same with house plans? Print them at full scale on the ground, on the actual block, so people could walk through their homes before building.

What shaped our approach

We drew from three distinct sources. Each one taught us something essential about how people understand space.

Sports field marking technology

Robotic line systems that paint precise layouts on grass in minutes.

Architectural site visits

Walking through buildings under construction to understand spatial relationships.

Virtual reality experiences

Digital tools that attempt to show space, but lack the physical reality of being there.

Why full scale beats everything else

Tape on floors fades.

3D models stay on screens.

We put you inside your home at full scale — on your actual block.

You feel the width of doorways.
You pace the length of hallways.
You stand where your bed will go.
You see how your home sits in its surroundings.

That’s not a visualisation.

That’s reality.

What we want you to feel

The first time someone walks their layout, something shifts. They see their home not as an idea but as a place. They move through it. They test it. They own it before it exists.

Clarity about your space

Confidence in your design choices

Peace of mind before construction

We believe home design should be accessible, stress-free, and grounded in reality. Every person deserves to know their home before they build it.

How this changes everything

Better decisions made early mean fewer regrets later. Happier homeowners. Fewer costly changes mid-construction. A building process that feels right.

Decisions made with certainty

You catch design issues before construction, not after.

Construction without surprises

Your home builds as planned, not as discovered.

Homeowners who feel confident

You move in knowing you made the right choices.

Walk it before you build it
